Data & account deletion

Last updated 19 September 2026

You can delete your Akasa Coworking account and your personal data yourself, in the app, at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what we are required to keep.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Sign in to the Akasa Coworking app and open the menu.
  2. Choose Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  4. Tap Delete my account.
  5. Read the confirmation and tap Delete account permanently.

Deletion is immediate. There is no waiting period and nobody has to approve it. You are signed out, and the login stops working straight away. It cannot be undone.

What is deleted

When you delete your account, we delete:

  • Your login, so the account can never be used again. Every device you were signed in on is signed out.
  • Your personal details — your name, email address, phone number, job title, description and any social handles you added.
  • Your profile photo.
  • Your listing in the member directory, so colleagues can no longer look you up.
  • Your notifications, and the device registrations used to send you push notifications.

The visitors you were expecting are cancelled, and so are your upcoming meeting-room bookings that can still be cancelled. A booking that starts within 30 minutes, or has already been invoiced, stays on your company's account under the normal cancellation rules.

What we keep, and why

Some records belong to your company or must be kept by law, so they are not erased. Your name, email address and phone number are removed from the bookings, tickets and visitor log below; your company's financial records are kept exactly as they were written:

  • Your company's invoices and credit ledger — these belong to your company, not to you, and Indian tax law requires us to keep them as Goods and Services Tax (GST) records. They are not altered, so a ledger entry for a booking you cancelled in the past may still show your name as the person who cancelled it.
  • Past bookings — they are the usage behind your company's credit ledger and invoices, so they are kept with those accounts.
  • Support tickets — kept as the centre's maintenance and safety record of what was reported and how it was fixed.
  • The visitor security log — kept for premises security, as the record of who entered a centre and when.

We keep backup copies only to recover from data loss, and we never use them to restore a deleted account. A backup of uploaded files can still hold a copy of your profile photo; email privacy@akasacoworking.com and we will remove it.

Can't sign in?

If you no longer have access to your login, email privacy@akasacoworking.com and we will delete your account for you. You do not need the app installed. Write from the email address on your account if you can; if you cannot, write from any address and we will confirm who you are another way before acting.

Email us to delete my account

We acknowledge these emails within 7 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. If it will take longer, we will tell you why and when to expect it.

Accounts are provided by your company

The Akasa Coworking app has no public sign-up — your account was created for you because your employer holds a workspace agreement with Akasa Coworking. Your company's authorised contact can also ask us to remove your account, for example when you leave the company.

Other requests you can make

You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct anything that is wrong. Use the same email address above. Your full rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.
